Volunteer
The Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization. Our volunteers currently operate Monday-Friday from 6pm-6am, and on Saturday operate in 3 shifts. 6am-12pm, 12pm-6pm, and 6pm-6am Sunday morning. All of our trucks and our New Rd station are owned by the volunteers, even those operated by SBEMS. Our volunteers train hard and maintain certifications to ensure they are always ready to assist when needed.
SBEMS
SBEMS, nicknamed “SB3,” is a non-profit paid organization created in 2004 to help supplement EMS staffing in South Brunswick. SBEMS is staffed by career EMS crews with the same training as our volunteers. In Monmouth Junction they operate Monday-Friday 6am-6pm and Sunday. During these times, SBEMS supports their operations by billing insurance companies for their services. SBEMS is a separate entity from the MJFAS and as such has their own operations and staffing.
