Riding Opportunities

EMT

Emergency Medical Technicians are certified by the state of New Jersey to provide quality patient care during medical emergencies. Potential EMTs must undergo 260 hours of EMT training from an accredited training center prior to getting certified. 

 

CREW CHIEF

Crew Chiefs are New Jersey Certified Emergency Medical Technicians that have undergone our training process to lead and coordinate an ambulance crew appropriately to provide effective patient care.

 

Driver

Drivers have full responsibility for getting to the scene, safe placement of the ambulance, hospital transport, and return to base. Drivers may also participate in patient care with appropriate training. 

 

Cadets / Probationary Members

Cadets are members within the ages of 16-18, and Probationary Members are members over 18 who have not yet attained their EMT certification but still participate as part of the riding crew. Cadets and Probationary Members MUST attend EMT training within 6 months of joining. 

 


Non-Riding Opportunities

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Associate members add support in promoting good welfare amongst members of the squad and/or within the community, and are talented in areas other than those in the medical field such as finance, building, fundraising, event planning, leadership, etc. Associate members may hold offices within the Executive Board.
