The South Brunswick Independence Day Celebration will take place this Wednesday, July 3 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the fields of Crossroads Middle School. The school is located on the corner of Major Road and Kingston Lane. The program begins at 6:00 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
Rain date set for Friday, July 5.
This free event will have live music, food vendors, and fireworks. The event is annually one of the largest Township sponsored gatherings.
South Brunswick Police are advising residents that there will be increased traffic in and around the school and surrounding neighborhoods. The streets of Major Road, Kingston Lane and Georges Road will have increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Officers will be stationed in and around the event to assist with traffic issues.There will be no parking allowed on Major Road, Kingston Lane or Georges Road. Police anticipate the greatest volume of traffic between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to go off at 9:15 p.m.
